Here’s How To Sound Like A Professional Guitarist.

Yours truly! Will Ripley (Campfire Guitar Star)

Congratulations for reaching the end of this course!  We have come a long way.  This was specially designed to give you the fastest and best way to get from a complete beginner, to someone who can pick up the guitar and play almost any song.

Now the most important thing, the icing on the cake when playing guitar, is to connect with the vibe of the song. If there is one thing I want you to take away from this course it is this…

This is going to be a part of your practice that’s just as important as your scales and your songs. You picked up the guitar for a reason, that reason is the feeling that music gives us.  You now have an instrument and the knowledge to start creating that magic for yourself and others.  In order to do this, you need to play with ‘feeling’ and ‘conviction’.

Music and songs are emotional expressions.  When you play “Iron Man” or “Seven Nation  Army”, the more of that futuristic ‘berberian’ sound you can portray, the better the song will come across.  Thinking now about the MGMT song “Kids”, try to capture that nostalgic, upbeat, dance vibe.  “Leaving on a Jet Plane” has an open heart feel that sounds honest and sad.  You need to project that special, unique energy in every song you play.

Understanding the difference between just strumming the right chords and actually connecting with the emotion and translating the vibe is what separates an average guitar player from a great guitar player.
