Accelerate Your Alternate Picking With These 2 Songs

Often people starting guitar have the idea that the left hand is the difficult part to learn, but I’ve found in my experience it’s usually the right hand that tends to be more of a struggle. One of the most important parts of learning guitar is developing a fundamentally solid picking hand, to keep the rhythm steady and smooth.

In today’s lesson we’ll be going over two songs – “Kill The King” by Megadeth and “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne – that are awesome examples of alternate picking on a single string. Learning these will be relatively simple, but practice them consistently and you will see incredible results!

You will also learn some of the basics of picking, such as the angle to hold the pick at relative to the strings and some string muting advice. So strap yourself in and get ready for a lesson to get you going on the path to right hand mastery!
